The Elementary II students conducted an interesting science lab recently. They were investigating how a meteor's size and distance traveled affect the size of the craters it makes.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the Auction next Friday, April 7th! It is sure to be a night to remember. We will be offering some amazing “sign-ups” for both children and adults, so be sure to attend. Remember, you must be present at the Auction to secure your child’s or your spot for sign-up items. “Bippity Boppity Boo”
Calling all princesses and dragon slayers! The annual Colony Place Princess Tea is coming to Bay Farm! Join us for a royal tea, snacks, and crafts. This special afternoon will be hosted by her royal highness (and Children's House teacher), Mary Sullivan, and adults dressed as your favorite storybook characters, including Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Ariel, and Elsa! The royal tea will be held on Saturday, June 6th, from 1:00pm – 300pm.
“Mayhem with Rebecca”
Controlled chaos is Rebecca Fortgang’s (World Languages teacher) theme for this ultimate "over" (no sleep allowed). The evening plans include flashlight tag on the playground, movies in the Great Room, ice cream at midnight, and two hypoallergenic pups that love to jump! This crazy night runs from 8:00pm to 8:00am. This chaotic night is open for children in grades kindergarten and older.
“Fun with Kelley”
This special evening will be hosted by Elementary II teacher, Kelley Kasak Collins. Your child will join Kelley on Friday, April 28th, from 6:00pm, - 9:30pm for a night of pizza, karaoke, limbo, twister, and dancing! This event is for students currently in grades 3-6. Limit 15 children.
The Elementary II students are performing their play, “Shakespeare Unshackled” today. This play introduces the students to the world of William Shakespeare through song and snippets of his plays. Although the play is full of information, it is incredibly comical and entertaining!
Parents can see the videos of all class plays online. Simply log onto Bay Farm’s website and check out your child’s classroom pages. Each play performed this year, from the kindergarteners to middle schoolers, can be found on the parent portal.
The members of the Bay Farm Middle School would like to thank everyone for their generous support of the middle school's Annual Book and Bake Sale. We had a great turnout and were able to raise over $500 to help pay for meals and exciting activities during our middle school trip in May. Thank you for supporting us!
Bay Farm is offering April Vacation Camp during Spring Break (Tuesday, April 18 – Friday, April 21) from 8:30 am-12:00 pm or 8:30 am-3:00 pm. The camp is open for children ages 3 to 14. Those attending will enjoy playing games, cooking tasty treats, spending time outdoors, and creating art projects. You can register through the parent portal on the website or you can click here for the sign-up form.
Bay Farm's Summer Program is now open for registration. Our summer sessions offer creative arts, cooking, drama, music, science, tennis skills, swimming, and much more for children ages 18 months to 15 years. This year, our Summer Program runs from June 12-August 18th. Come for one week or all weeks! You can view the Summer Program brochure here.
New this year for Bay Farm parents: You can register online for the Summer Program. Simply log onto the parent portal of the website. On the left column, you will see School Forms Online (log into SFO). When you click on that tab, you will see the summer form.
Our Summer Theater workshop will present DreamWorks’ Madagascar JR. Children entering grades 1-8 are invited to be a part of this program that will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 20 - August 12 from 3:30-6:30pm. Students will learn a variety of theater skills, from acting and singing, to set and costume design and many aspects of back-stage production. They will perform in three full theatrical productions of Madagascar JR on August 10th, 11th, and 12th. You can view the Summer Theater brochure here.
