Welcome (back) to the 2017-18 school year! We look forward to working with all of you to make this a great year at Bay Farm.
There are many ways to stay connected to Bay Farm. Each week, your child’s teachers will add updates on their classroom pages. You can access these classroom pages by logging onto the Parent Portal. Once logged on, hover your mouse over Parent Resources on the top green bar, and a drop down menu will list each of the classroom levels. Click on your child’s level to open the page.

Bay Farm is pleased to host an ice cream social this Saturday from 1:00 – 3:00pm. Bring your family and join us on the playground for a delicious treat; catch up with friends while also meeting new ones!
Bay Farm’s first MPA (Montessori Parents’ Association) meetings of this school year will be held next week:
Who: YOU! You are all already part of the MPA. No sign up needed. No dues!
When: Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 8:45am-9:45am and Thursday, Sept. 12 from 8:45am-9:45am.
Where: The Great Room (by the parking lot)
These two meetings will have the same agenda; you may choose to attend either one based on your schedule.
Please join us for meeting other parents, enjoying some coffee, tea, and light breakfast, and a discussion of:
- Who is the MPA and what to do we do?
- MPA goals for the year
- How to access information about the MPA and school calendar
- Ways to be involved in the MPA
- Upcoming events

The father/child annual campout is scheduled for Friday, September 22nd. This overnight trip to Clark's Island is a popular tradition at Bay Farm. During our annual auction, families sign up to attend. There are a few spots left, so if you would like to attend, please email Kyra in the office at email@example.com. Food, drinks, and fun provided. Bring your own tent and sleeping bags. For ages four and up. This event is hosted and donated by Hauke-Kite Powell. The cost is $175 per dad and one child; $50 each additional child.
Back-to-School Night is a time for parents to learn the inner workings of their child's classroom, hear from teachers and specialists, get answers to questions, and meet and enjoy friends and new parents in a child-free environment. It is an important, annual tradition at Bay Farm and at many other schools. We hope to see you at Back-to-School Night on Tuesday, September 26. Times are below. Light refreshments will be served. Book your sitter and make sure to attend!

Elementary I - 6:30p.m. – 7:15p.m. in Elementary I
Elementary II - 5:30p.m. – 6:15p.m. in The Walden classroom
Middle School - 7:30 p.m. – 8:15p.m. in The Middle School
No childcare will be provided for this event.
Lace up your shoes and costumes; Bay Farm's 13th Annual Royce Whitaker 5K Run by the Bay & Kids Fun Run is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 28, 2017. This is a USATF-sanctioned race which begins and ends on the Bay Farm campus and runs along beautiful Bay Road in Duxbury. Held in memory of beloved student, Royce Whitaker, this high-spirited road race celebrates the joy, compassion, and unquenchable curiosity of Royce and all of the students at Bay Farm.
