Montessori at Bay Farm

The Montessori Method is a program

The Montessori Method is a program of learning that prepares children for real experience and respects the development of the whole child – cognitive, physical, social, and emotional. It is a proven child-centered approach rooted in the belief that children and adolescents are naturally eager and curious to learn.

Bay Farm students learn to think critically and work collaboratively. They develop crucial life skills such as personal independence, curiosity, and intrinsic motivation. The focus is not on how to memorize, recite, or even solve a problem but on thinking through understanding and ultimately inventing new questions for tasks yet to be determined.

Our goal is to equip students with a sense of purpose and meaning, to understand their place in the world, and to feel a deep sense of compassion for others. Our curriculum includes lessons in empathy, kindness, and respect for diversity. Bay Farm students grow to become confident, compassionate, and socially responsible members of society.

Bay Farm Montessori Academy is fully accredited by the American Montessori Society, an honor that positions the school among less than 15% of other Montessori schools nationwide
