Admissions Process

Welcome!

Bay Farm’s admissions process is designed to acquaint applicants and families with the school program and community.

Here at Bay Farm Montessori Academy, we offer exceptional educational programming rooted in the work of Maria Montessori for students from toddlers through Middle School. Bay Farm students enjoy a strong academic program emphasizing art, music, drama, physical education, library, outdoor learning, STEM agriculture, and world language. Our well-rounded academic curriculum develops the skills and experience that enable our students to emerge as self-confident learners and leaders upon graduation.

We recognize that we may not be the best fit for every child or family. No one school is right for all children. Some children may thrive in a setting with more teacher-directed programs that offer fewer choices and a more consistent external structure. Children who are easily overstimulated or those who tend to be overly aggressive may be examples of children who might not adapt as easily to a Montessori program. It is important to know your child’s needs and evaluate if our program may be a good fit for them and your family.

Please note: Enrollment for 2024-2025 is closed for our Toddler and Children’s House programs.

Step 1: Inquire

The first step of the process is to complete our official inquiry form.

Step 2: Schedule a Tour

Tours for those interested in the 2025-2026 school year will begin in September 2024. We find the best way to understand Bay Farm and our Montessori philosophy is to see it firsthand, and we welcome families to visit the school in action. To schedule your tour, click here.

Step 3: Apply

To apply for admission, please complete the following steps:

Complete the application and submit the application fee.
Complete supporting documents (see the application page for appropriate level)
Complete campus visits (both parent and applicant)

Step 4: Parent Student Visit

The final step is to arrange a time for your child to visit the classroom for a period of the day. This is a great way for your child to familiarize with their new environment and ensure that Bay Farm is a good fit for your family. We will work with families case-by-case to determine the best way to connect. These visits will likely be scheduled in February 2025.
