MISSION
Bay Farm Montessori Academy’s Montessori Parents Association (MPA) is committed to supporting the teachers, staff, families, and children at Bay Farm to achieve the school’s overall mission and philosophy. The MPA is made up of volunteers who believe in positively helping build a strong, connected, inclusive, and just community for all families, past, present, and future supporting educating our children in a vibrant Montessori community. All parents and guardians with enrolled children are members of the MPA.

What Is the MPA?
The Montessori Parents Association (MPA) is a volunteer-led organization committed to supporting the teachers, staff, families, and children at Bay Farm Montessori Academy. Every parent/guardian of students at Bay Farm are members of the MPA.
What We Do
Community Building: Organize events like BooFest, Coffee Fridays, Book Swap, the School Dance and more to bring families together.
Support for Teachers and Staff: We support our teachers and staff through managing the room parents and showing appreciation through breakroom takeovers and gifts.
How You Can Engage
Volunteer: Whether you have a few hours or want a regular role, your help is welcome. Opportunities include event planning, committee work, and classroom support.
Why It Matters
Your involvement strengthens our school community and directly impacts your child’s experience.
Volunteering is a great way to meet other families, contribute to meaningful initiatives, and model community engagement for your children.

Bay Farm Room Parents
Bay Farm Montessori Academy’s Room Parents support students, faculty, staff, and families to achieve the school’s overall mission and philosophy. Room Parents help to positively and proactively build a strong, connected, and inclusive community for all families.
Room parents work closely with the MPA, classroom teachers, and School Administration, helping ensure that every family’s experience of Bay Farm is authentically full of joy, purpose, and compassion.

MPA Events
The MPA organizes several events for the school community to help make the school year joyful for our students, families, and teachers.
Some events and initiatives we oversee are:
- BooFest!
- Spirit Week
- Winter Dance
- Teacher Appreciation
- Pizza Lunch
The MPA relies on the help of parent volunteers to organize these events. Each event varies in terms of volunteer commitment, generally, we need parents to plan each event, help with set-up and clean-up, and be at the event.
