The Farm
Real animals, real responsibility.
Our integrated agriculture program, taught by 2025's Agricultural Teacher of the Year, Evelyn Golden, brings learning outside the classroom walls. Children tend vegetable beds, harvest apples from our orchard, collect eggs from the henhouse, and care for our goats and alpaca. They learn resilience, responsibility, patience, and develop wonder and respect for the natural world.
It's biology you can hold in your hands. It's math, counting seeds and measuring growth. It's science, tracking seasons and life cycles. It's community, learning the value of caring for something other than yourself.
Around the Farm
Our Goats
Three Nigerian dwarf goats, Alfie, Scruffy, and Dwight, are part of daily campus life.
Our Alpaca
Harmony the alpaca is a gentle, curious friend students always look forward to visiting.
Our Hens
A flock of egg-laying hens gives students hands-on responsibility, from daily care to egg collection.
Our Gardens & Orchard
Raised garden beds and a small apple orchard give students the chance to plant, tend, and harvest throughout the year.
Growing Alongside Nature
Bay Farm students interact with nature at every developmental level, growing in step with the animals and gardens they help tend.
Bay Farm's 4-H Club lets students take their learning further, competing with the school's own chickens at local fairs.
